| Trampolining |
Trampolining is an exciting and fun
way to develop and improve strength, stamina and particularly
coordination skills while promoting good posture, body awareness
and self confidence.
The MultiSport trampolining programme follows the
British Gymnastics Trampoline Award Scheme that provides
the opportunity for participants to achieve progressive awards. |

This ten level award scheme is not only a great incentive scheme
but also provides a systematic approach to trampolining. Safety
is a primary consideration and quality international trampoline
and matting equipment shall be used. Socks and tracksuit bottoms/leggings
should be worn with all jewellery removed. Maximum of 6 students
per class.
Ages 4 & 5: 45 mins.
Students will be introduced to trampolining through fun and
age specific drills. Core strength will be developed through
basic skills such as shape jumps, e.g. straight; star; tuck.
Ages 6 & 7: 45 mins.
Students will further develop the basic skills and be introduced
to more intricate movements. The difference between front
and back drops will be taught, along with twists and turns.
Rotation and accompanying skills will be introduced in order
to allow progression to the next stage. |

| Ages 8 &
9: 45 mins.
Students will continue with routine work encompassing
rotation, twisting and turning. More advanced skills and progressions
such as Swivel Hips and Forward Turnover will start to be
introduced in accordance with the appropriate trampoline award
levels.
Ages 10 - 12: 1 hour.
Having learned pre-requisite skills, students can further
advance their trampolining proficiency and increase their
skill repertoire in this class. Set routines of 10 moves in
sequence will provide a greater focus, whilst also working
on front and back somersault progressions and variations,
e.g. Arabian and Barani.
